Saying goodbye is the new hello
Meet our four forces for change, inviting you to join the recycling revolution.

Most of us wouldn’t throw a glass bottle or plastic container in the trash. They should be recycled, right? But when it comes to fashion, your reaction might not be as obvious. The sad truth is that only 1% of the material used to make clothes is recycled. That’s why we’ve had a global garment collecting programme since 2013 (it’s actually the world’s largest of its kind!). Now, we’re taking the next step on our innovation journey by presenting Looop: the first in-store recycling system creating new clothes from your old ones.

Together with Jane Goodall, SZA, Vic Barrett and Andreea Diaconu, we want to reshape your fashion mindset. By turning their old garments into new, these changemakers are kickstarting the recycling revolution. A movement all about treating clothes as resources, not waste. No matter condition, colour or style — no clothes belong in the trash.

Scroll down to learn more about our co-creators and the garments they’re remaking with Looop.

Jane Goodall has, through nearly 60 years of work, shown each of us the need to protect our planet and all living things on it. Hear the story behind the shirt she’s remaking at @janegoodallinst.

Solána Imani Rowe, known as SZA, hasn’t just brought a fresh sound to R&B — she’s also got a whole new take on fashion. Wonder why she’s remaking her mother’s skirt? Head to @sza.

Vic Barrett is the youth climate justice activist fighting for our future, for instance by suing the American government to take action on climate change. Listen to Vic’s garment’s story at @vicbarrett_.

Andreea Diaconu is the top model who’s raising her voice for the environment and sustainable development. She’s remaking her karate outfit, learn why at @andreeadiddy.

DID YOU KNOW?
Looop is installed in one of our stores in Stockholm, Sweden. Anyone can stop by to remake clothes or view the process IRL.

DID YOU KNOW?
No water or dye is used to create garments with Looop. The only added component is sustainably sourced virgin yarn. This is to make sure the fibres are strong enough and your garment can be loved and reloved for as long as possible.

DID YOU KNOW?
The old garment goes through eight different steps to become a new one. These include cleaning, shredding, filtering, carding, drawing, spinning, twisting and, finally, knitting.
